Duomen Incident was regarding the incident that Emperor Yingzong (Zhu Qizhen) was pushed back to the throne of Ming Dynasty by some famous ministers during that time. Emperor Yingzong of Ming Dynasty was kidnapped in year August of 1449 and one month later, his younger brother Zhu Qiyu (later known as Emperor Jingtai) was placed to the throne by the assistance of Yu Qian, a famous minister of Ming Dynasty.
Later, when Emperor Yingzong was released by the enemies, he had lost his throne and was arrested at Southern
Palace by his brother. In year 1457 when Emperor Jingtai was sick, some of the ministers had planned to push Emperor Yingzong back to his throne in order to seek for a better fortune. The incident was successful. After Emperor Yingzong returned to his throne, all the ministers who had assisted him were raised while for those who caused him to lose his throne were put into prison.
